dVIM (Distributor Virtual Inventory Management) is a powerful tool for factories, distributors and fabricators that allows easy cataloging, organization and searching of inventory. Customers of a dVIM enabled factory or distributor can view and purchase slabs online directly from inventory, allowing them to sell the slabs via their own dVIM website before they are even received from the vendor. A dVIM system includes the dVIM server, reception station, high-resolution Canon camera, barcode scanners and barcode printer. You simply photograph each slab as you receive it and it automatically gets uploaded to your customized dVIM website with the information you provide. Your salespeople can show slabs to your customers from your own inventory on your dVIM website. You can even download the photos into VeinMatch and show your customer a virtual version of their kitchen with perfect vein alignment. Since the photos are calibrated, you can also use them to program your RoboCut or other stone cutting machine offline, saving valuable production time.

Why you need dVIM

Factories - Using dVIM will help you organize your inventory. Your dVIM inventory will be available online which allows you to showcase your product and enables simplified purchasing for your distributors.

Distributors - Purchasing from a factory that uses the dVIM system will enable you to purchase slabs and have them available for sale to your Fabricators before the order even reaches your warehouse. The slab details and photos will transfer to your inventory the moment you order so you don’t need to photograph slabs in-house. If your factories don’t have a dVIM system you can have the same inventory management capabilities and provide your Fabricators the same level of convenience by taking your own photos of slabs. Fabricators will be provided with their own copies of VeinMatch so that they can use your calibrated slab photos to create layouts for their customers with perfect vein alignment.
